What are the 2022 holidays?
The list of holidays can be found in the “HR Induction,” which is located in the “Key Documents” section of the Employee Dashboard.
When do I get paid?
Weekly paid staff are paid on Thursday’s, directly into a nominated bank account. Monthly paid staff are paid on the last Thursday of every month.
What are my working hours?
Core hours are normally:
Days – Monday- Thursday 08.00am – 17.00pm, Friday 08.00am – 15.00pm
Nights – Monday- Thursday 17:15pm – 03:15am

How much leave do I get?
You are entitled to 28 days per year, with a mixture of fixed and floating days. Holiday requests are to be made through GSS, and there are work centre holiday limits in place.
I’m sick. What do I do?
I’ve suffered a bereavement. What do I do?
5 days: Immediate Family Member: a spouse, civil partner, partner (including same sex partners), parent/stepparent, child/stepchild or sibling
2 days: Close Relative: grandparent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, aunt, uncle or grandchild
However, it is advisable to discuss your circumstances with your Line Manager to mutually agree the time off
I want to leave GES. What do I do?
If you wish to resign, you must do so in writing giving a minimum of the notice period as is specified in your Statement of Main Terms of Employment. This should be provided in writing to your supervisor/manage. Where possible, you should provide additional notice out of courtesy.
Where do I get PPE/workwear?
PPE specific to your job will be provided and it is your responsibility to maintain.
What you wear is relevant to the risks in your work centre. If you require additional PPE or workwear, you can acquire it by using one of the Vend machines. Guides to using these Vend machines can be found under the “Important Documents” heading in the “Employee Dashboard.”
